Special event permits are required for public events and events that are:

• Over six hours long.
• Requesting permission for a prohibited activity, such as archery, sound amplifying equipment, and temporary chalk marking associated with sports and games on the field. See the Parks Reservations Requirements section for a list of additional prohibited activities.

Applications must be received at least 60 days in advance of the requested event.

Upon request, the due date for a reservation payment may be delayed until approval has been determined for a special event permit application.

Special event banners and signage require a zoning compliance permit from the town.

In addition to the reservable banner location, up to five signs may be placed around town with the permit.
